Terms of service

These Terms of Service govern all hire and use of Maison Silver items. By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings & Payment

  • A booking is only confirmed once payment (or deposit, where applicable) has been received.

  • Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred at Maison Silver’s discretion.

  • Full payment must be received prior to delivery or collection of hire items.

2. Hire Period

  • Standard hire is for 48 hours. Extended hire may be available upon request and may incur additional fees.

  • Late returns will be charged at the daily hire rate unless otherwise agreed.

3. Use of Items

  • Maison Silver items are strictly for styling and serving only.

  • Items must not be placed in ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, or exposed to flames or direct heat.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring proper and safe use at their event.

4. Care & Cleaning

  • Items must be returned rinsed and free from food, drink, or wax residue.

  • Professional polishing is not required.

  • Excessive soiling will incur additional cleaning fees.

  • All Maison Silver pieces must be hand washed only. Do not use a dishwasher.

5. Damage, Loss & Replacement

  • All items are inspected before and after hire.

  • The hirer is responsible for any damage, breakage, or loss from the time of delivery/collection until return.

  • Replacement charges will be invoiced at full retail value of the item.

  • Damaged or missing items must be reported immediately.

6. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery fees apply in addition to the hire rates. All current delivery charges are listed below and apply per trip (each way)

    • Northern Beaches – $30

    • North Shore – $50

    • Eastern Suburbs – $50

    • Western Sydney – $60

  • Additional charges may apply for after-hours service, difficult access, or locations outside these areas.

  • Items must be ready for collection at the agreed time and place.

  • Clients are welcome to collect and return items directly from our North Curl Curl location by prior arrangement.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before booking: full refund (excluding deposit).

  • Cancellations within 14 days: 50% refund.

  • Cancellations within 7 days: no refund.

  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

8. Liability

  • Maison Silver is not liable for injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use of hire items.

  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure safe handling and use of all items.

  • Customers should take care when using items with candles or other styling elements.

9. Force Majeure

  • Maison Silver is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or inability to deliver services caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including weather, strikes, illness, or government restrictions).

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of NSW.
